One of the largest developments of its kind in Australia. Not only will the centre provide state-of-the-art aquatic and recreation facilities, it will also be the home of the Fremantle Football Club.

Selectro was contracted to supply, install and commission all electrical aspects for the plant room for the 9 pools in the facility.

The control system consisted of 9 separate pool filtration systems, heating, cooling and chemical dosing.

The control system utilised was Siemens, engineered with the TIA Portal, it consisted of the following elements:

• 2 x S7-1500 PLC controllers
• 15” Siemens Comfort Panel HMI for main filtration control
• Several Siemens Basic Panel HMI’s for water features and water slide control
• 400 x Digital I/O points
• 55 x Analogue I/O points
• 22 x Siemens G120 VSD’s controlled over Profinet communications
• 9 x Siemens Magflo transmitters for flow rate control
• Various temperature, level, PH and chlorine sensors for process control
• 9 x Actuated control valves for pool heating regulation

Selectro designed the control system with the pool operators in mind, the HMI layout gives a full overview of each separate pool system comprising of all control elements, alarms and process variables.

This project was completed within the set deadline with a smooth transition from installation thru commissioning to handover.
